general thoughts on once we slept’s audio files

metadata

all files are meta tagged in BWF (broadcast wave format) to populate your database without effort. no special player is needed, of course. yet any professional audio management tool should be able to take advantage of this additional information.
and, in deep love for csv-spreadsheets, one of those sweet files will also be delivered.

reasonable sample rates

once we slept doesn’t pimp up sample rates just to increase file size or assumed quality. quite the contrary, almost all subjects are recorded with 96 or 192 kHz and get sampled down to the minimum sample rate required to retain the full frequency spectrum the recorded subject in conjunction with the used microphone(s) delivered. thus, you always may expect rich ultrasonic content in at least several files from packs delivered in higher sample rates than 48 kHz.
